Ca roule!

Qu'est-ce qui roule? Mon premier log cabin, bien sur! Ca faisait un moment que j'avais envie d'essayer ce modèle si traditionnel, mais quand j'ai vu cette variante plus moderne dans le livre de Marti Michell (disponible ici), j'ai craqué. C'est un log cabin irrégulier, et de ce fait, il crée l'illusion de cercles. Ingénieux, non? Pour l'instant, j'ai assemblé la partie log cabin, et là je réfléchis à des possibilités pour la bordure. A suivre donc!

"Ca roule" in French means, among other things, that something is going along as planned, with no hitches. So what's going well? My first log cabin quilt, of course! I'd been wanting to try a log cabin for a while, but when I saw this more modern variation in Marti Michell's book (available here in France), I knew I had to finally give in to temptation. It's an irregular log cabin, which means that it gives the illusion of circles. Ingenious, isn't it? To date, I've assembled the actual log cabin part and am thinking about possiblities for the border. To be continued!
