First things first, my very best wishes for the new year: I hope it will be filled with both small and big sources of joy!

En 2009, j'ai commencé un quilt énooooorme (taille dictée par les désirs de mon mari) que j'ai assemblé à la machine mais que je projettais de quilter à la main. Voux pouvez voir ses débuts ici et ici et ici. Des soucis physiques m'ont empêché de le terminer, et depuis plus de deux ans il languissait dans un placard puisque je ne peux plus quilter à la main. Donc j'ai récemment pris la décision de le finir à la machine - après tout, "fini" est mieux que rien, non? Pour la petite histoire, il mesure 259cm de long sur 284cm de large. Voici quelques images du travail en cours.

In 2009 I began a huuuuuge quilt (the size was my husband's idea) that I assembled by machine but that I planned to hand quilt. You can see its beginnings here and here and here. Some little physical problems have kept me from finishing it, and for more than two years it's been folded away in a closet because I can no longer handquilt. Recently, though, I decided to finish it by machine; after all, "finished" is better than nothing, right? For information, it measures 102" long by 115" wide. Here are a few pictures of it in progress.

La très grande table faite par mon mari me permet de quilter un grand quilt sans trop de mal./ The very big table my husband made for me allows me to quilt a large quilt without too many difficulties.
