Echarpe volantée

En mars, une amie super gentille m'a envoyé une magnifique écharpe qu'elle à tricotée,

Last March, a really nice friend sent me this gorgeous scarf she'd knitted,

et je l'ai bien sûr emmenée (l'écharpe, pas l'amie!) à mon groupe de patch. Le résultat ne m'a pas surprise - il y a eu des demandes de comment/quelle laine/où trouver le modèle, etc. De fil en aiguille (!), et encouragées par la visite de Domy à notre groupe, nous avons passé une commande groupée pour cette laine si particulière. Mon premier essai a donné ceci:

and of course I took it straight to my quilt group to show them. The result was just what I'd expected: they wanted the how/where/what, etc. One thing leading to the next, and encouraged by a recent visit from Domy to our group, we made a group order for this unusual yarn. My first effort is below:

Maintenant nous sommes toutes impatientes de voir la collection d'hiver! / Now we're all anxious to see the winter collection of colors!
